Cue-Controlled Relaxation

Cue-Controlled Relaxation is a technique wherby we learn to relax and whenever we choose to.

We do this by using a cue word such as peace and triggers like pressure on the thumb nail whilst exhaling in a deep state of relaxation.

In time these can send messages to the brain to create feelings of relaxation on cue.

This exercise needs to be practiced over and over again for new connections to be made between brain and muscle, but onec established is very effective.

Please do not watch or listen to this material whilst driving or operating machinery or where it is not safe for you to close your eyes and fully relax.

There are many factors that can influence how well you relax on a particular occasion. The exercise may work better on somedays than others, that is to be expected. Just persevere and practice as often as possible and notice how are you improve over time.

As best you can, practice once a day. The more you practice, the quicker you will condition your body and mind to relaxation.
